“Whatever you want to do, do it now. There are only so many tomorrows.”
Michael Landon, Jr.
It’s true! And in some cases, unfortunately, easier said than done. Just do it, do it now. Like switching a light on and off. I get to connect with many women on a daily basis and many of them say the same thing, “I want to do more with my life.” “I would love to do this but I don’t really think I could do it for a living.” “I’m unhappy at my job.” “I’m too old” and the list goes on.
Unfortunately, these are just a bunch of can’ts! I can’t this, I can’t that, I can’t because… do you see a pattern? We’ve all fallen into this trap before so don’t feel too guilty. It’s what we do with the knowledge of the trap that sets us free.
I know this might have seemed a little harsh, as if I were coming down on you, but trust me — I promise I’m not. I just know that you CAN DO anything you set your mind to. Failing is not a bad thing, it’s a learning thing. Failing and falling help teach you invaluable lessons that you would have never learned if you were always successful. Plus, if you were always successful then you’re never pushing yourself. And if you’re never needing to push yourself then where is the enjoyment or passion. This reminds me of another great quote by Joan Collins, “Show me a person who has never made a mistake and I’ll show you somebody who has never achieved much.”
So for today, this week and all the days of your life… go for it. Do it now and do not wait. If you fall or fail, get back up and try again — just try another angle. If there’s a will, there’s a way. Just remember…
We believe in women and their ability to change the world. We are here because of you and for you. You in all your capability have called out to us and we have said yes! We have seen just how precious you are. We have caught a glimpse of womanhood and the generational change that it can have in the world. From the entrepreneur to the stay at home mom, we will champion you. We will believe in you. We will run with you, cry with you, grow with you and so much more. Just do it.
With Love, Nic
